1992 25 hp mercury outboard S# od 158274 no spark

Engine was running great first time out this season, as I was traveling at full throttle, engine just quit like the key was shut off. put new stator, switchbox and rectifier on it. Still no spark. What is the next step? Help please, I need to go fishing. Thanks.
 
Disconnect any kill switch wires (black with yellow stripe) as your first step - you many have replaced many working parts when it was something as simple as a bad kill switch (man over board switch)..
