Have an 87 with merc 180 has a closed cooling system . Just purchased few days ago has a leak on the sea water part of the heat exchanger . Not the problem but I noticed when I started it on muffs water would leak from the exchanger but I didn't have hose to reach boat at home so I fill a container with water atleast 15 gallon and it didn't not pull water ? Do the muffs just force the water in and could the impeller be bad?
