Chrysler 75 hp 1975/6 model 757 HA

Good day all. On both my 75's, impeller and housing (aluminium) are totally ruined. Here in South Africa there are NO spares at all for Chrysler motors. So, my , perhaps fuzzy , idea is, to use a bilge pump per motor and connect the output to the internal water-pipe which goes to the head.I obviously have to drill through the leg and fit proper fittings. That's not a problem at all. QUESTION: WILL A 500GPH BILGE PUMP SUPPLY SUFFICIENT WATER TO COOL THE HEAD ( 1 MOTOR PER PUMP ). The 500gph pump uses 2 amps. And as I understand it, a 75 hp on some 2500 / 3000 revs will create a force of 6 to 8 amps. So, sufficient to charge the battery. I hope I am right here with the power assumption. Need to know however the pressure for cooling. Maybe a weird question here. Hopefully some-one can give me some advice. Tks. Jean

It would probably work.
The pump needs to be set up so it won't run dry.
They/you make a sealed box that is below the water line and won't run dry.
Just make sure the overheat system is working.
The batteries should be BIG!!! and charged fully.
Something like a tractor battery.
No deep cycle batteries.
