90 hp force water pump

Boat outtoday only problem today was weak water stream from tell tale pump check this picture i didnt have this washer in place not sure if it belongs there or not

The washer needs to be snug against the pump housing.
Even if the impeller looks good??? replace it.

The washer could be the problem??

Sand and mud can slow down the flow.

The washer is called a slinger. Merc has been using them for years.

Ah ok i had not installed that its there now ill try it out after impeller change.

I learned something new.
It's called a slinger.
Seen them for years and never knew what it's called.

It kind of just sits on top of the pump housing doesn't really look like it does much

So a little more to this story

It started while i was out on the river with the wife.

I didn't see much water from the tell tale so I said let move from the channel and fish.

Here is where all the problems started.
We were fishing, so i thought let me back up a little.
I went and backed up the boat.
Hit a submerged rock.
absolutely ruined a new 4 blade propeller.

Tilt trim would not work.
Now i drained fluid refilled with new.
I think the impact somehow forced water into system so got tilt trim going again but now the up button moves motor down and the down button moves motor up.
seems impossible.
Any insight to this situation would be appreciated.
I know people lose props sometimes.

Took tell tale hose off ...collapsed inside i guess an old grayfuel.line is a no no.

Had to be when i hit the rock
Only thing that come to mind is those ball bearing things in pump Could thave reposition themselves from impact ?
