I have a 1992 Dt25 long shaft that the turnbuckle nut came undone on the clutch rod and now I can not figure out how to get the turnbuckle on at the right place for shifting into the gears.
It seems like it would be an easy thing but when I have the forward and neutral gears linked up the handle will not shift into reverse.
Am I suppose to be in reverse when I hook the 2 up? When I think I have it it just will not go into reverse, super frustrating and its super hot out so that doesn't help.
I would appreciate anyones advice, because it is an hours drive, at least, to get to the closest suzuki dealer.
I also wonder if any outboard mechanic can fix it.
