I have had a 1995 Force 70 HP for 10 years that has no operational issues. Is it safe to use Synthetic Oil TCW 3 outboard oil with this engine. It runs great and don't want to cause an issue.

I've used the cheapest oil I can find.
Wally World 12$
The synthetics might smoke less but once you get moving??
You can't notice the difference.

If your talking the Premium Plus I buy at a boat retailer, always seemed to me to be the least smokey.

I was told once ONLY to use oil made by an outboard company. Never oil made by an auto oil/gas producer ie Pennzoil, Gulf etc..... Supposedly they run cleaner but that was before synthetic's became more available

Don't just go by that.... Oil and additive quality varies just like anything else.
My shuddering tranny was totally to blame on SuperTech fluid

The oil producers meet basic requirements that "should" work in your motor..
Then you can get better oils.
Like the Royal Purple Break In Oil. WAY better than the rest.
