we are trying to get the boat running to take it out on the water. when we try turning the boat over it will crank but that's it. the fuel comes out but its not firing up. its been sitting since last summer when we took it out. I'm not sure why but if anyone has any ideas or suggestions to why it wont fire up it would help.

are u using old fuel from last year,if so dump and everything from tank to engine needs to be cleaned,In meantime try running on portable tank

Hi, like John said, try fresh fuel from an independent container, that's how I started mine this season. I burnt 3 starters because I didn't use fresh fuel, I also adjusted the carb screws to bring it up with extra fuel. I didn't rebuild my carb so I got lucky, boat running great at 35mph by (gps). I also use Heat fuel additive to be able to get rid of any water in the tank. Good luck and keep us up to date, thanks

Look into the ESA system!
If by chance the cam lever is activating the micro switch while in neutral, the ignition system will faulter.
