Default Yanmar with visible corrosion - problematic or no issue?

    Hi All,

I am looking to buy a boat with a 9hp Yanmar inboard engine - but when I looked at the
engine there was quite a bit of corrosion on certain engine parts. The engine is 15 years old
or so and had regular service according to the owner. Wanted to ask you whether you all
believe that this is fine and nothing to worry about - or is this not looking good to you?

    Thanks!

Rust or some corrosion is on most marine engines that haven't been recently painted. Many engines have uses in auto or industrial and get a primer and paint job for non marine use.
