Alternator Wiring Question

Ok .. found a wire with push on plug pulled off the back of my 454's alternator .. Purple and white wire //Question is ..where does it get plugged back on?
Thinking it gets pushed back on the back top threaded terminal. Investigating the cure .................... Dr.'s consultations gladly accepted..

Based on the number of posts for your project

I would strongly recommend that you purchase a Mercruiser service manual for your motor/drive.

By continuing to ask so many questions and receiveing so many different answers you will be getting too many choices.
