Can aluminum lower pump case driveshaft hole be epoxied?

This m50D was in salt water and has some pitting in the driveshaft hole. Is there an epoxy that can be used to smooth it up? Maybe a little lock tite around the new seal would work? Thanks.
 
I took a closer look and slid the part over the driveshaft and was surprised it fit so loosely, so the pitting won't matter there. It is a little rough where the seals were but I don't believe it will be a problem after all. Bob
