need info on a serial number for honda 225

I would love to know if this can be done outside a dealer. Had one take a look at my serial # (1000 newer than yours) but he didn't come back with much and suggested speaking to Honda themselves (who had already told me to ask the dealers!).
 
Honda Customer Service Customer Service number in Atlanta is 770-497-6400. If #56 or #70 were performed by an authorized dealer, they should have a record of it.
