Default Starter gear problems after converting to 12 V Model 620

My Model 620 was rebuilt last year and in the process converted to 12 volts. After several weeks of use, the Bendix gear flew off. I was able to replace the gear but the same thing happened when it was in for winterization. Any ideas why and where should I go for either a replacement starter assembly or parts?

    Thanks

A bigger shop that rebuilds starters will have parts or starter. Starter may be on Ebay.

Thank you. A friend found the replacement part for me and everything works.
