40 Tohatsu Motor at crank up goes to full throttle on its own ???

I have a 92 40 Tohatsu that has been great to me but now at crank up its goes to full throttle not sure what's cause it I to the motor cap of and look at everything all the linkages for the carbs looks just find not sure what's the problem anybody have any input we take it to the shop in two weeks when I get back from work would like to know if it's a simple fix are time to retire the old rig !!
 
What is your actual model, not year? If it is a Remote motor, did you check the throttle cable at the RC box and at the motor?

It's a 1992 TohatsuM40D EFTOL. The throttle cable was fix last year I took the motor cap off and all the linkage seems to be working fine when I function it forward and at full throttle and same with reverse direction with the motor off today I had my Cuzin drop it at the boat shop ! He won't get to it til next week
