Brand new 4.3 v6 long block in my 1990 reniell 18.5 open bow boat
Runs fine. Out of the water.
When in water only getting to about 2500 rpms at 25 mph. Does not miss. Or fall on its face stays running fine just won't go past 2500 rpm.
Set timing to 8°. Total of 28° back fires once in a while when going to full throttle. My question is will timing cause my rpms to stay at 2500 rpms and not increase?
Cam is broken in corrclety. Will reach 4600 rpm with throttle only and out of the water
