Hi guys... I received my Mercruiser through hull seawater pick up kit 818170A2.
should I use 4200 to seal the strainer and screw holes on the outside and inside of the boat? And on the threads.... Is thread sealer the best as opposed to Teflon tape. And is there a trick to getting the shut off valve to tighten to the position facing the pump? I was just wondering if I tighten it till it stops in the wrong direction, how could I adjust.
