Suzuki dt225 charging issue

I have been messing with regulator, rectifier on my suzuki dt225 2 stroke engine. When first started voltage at 14.3 and after running awhile getting warm the voltage drops to 12.3 and if u turn other electronics on ,drops to 11.2 . What do u think the issue may be?

Do you have a battery switch and running two batteries? I have a related question. Put a DVM right on the battery you are running with and see if its seeing 14volts or nominal battery terminal voltage of 12v. If you have a battery 3-way switch your console volt meter might just be seeing only the battery your motor's computer is hard wired to (around the battery switch).

Does this happens when you switch batteries at the switch or after a period of time?
