BF50A Fuel pump leak-repair or repace

Hi,
I have a BF50A serial #BAZL-2000970.

Went to fire it up for the season and the fuel pump is leaking. It looks like from one of the gaskets between the body parts. Is there a rebuild kit for this or is it better to replace the whole assembly? Could there be something downstream in the carbs that could have caused that? The motor is about 20 years old, could the gaskets become brittle or break down after that amount of time?

Thanks much for any advice.

First...make sure that the screws holding it together are tight. They may have just loosened.

There is no repair kit that I know of. It is best to just replace it. They retail just over $100. Be sure to get a new o ring for mounting. It does not come with the new pump.

The carburetors would not cause this problem, but if the gaskets are deteriorating, pieces could go into the carburetors and block the jets.

This is not uncommon, especially, because of the ethanol in the fuel.
