2004 Johnson 150 started smoking excessively and check engine and low oil alarm on and off. Oil level good. What???? and how to fix? Thanks.

Engine smoking, I assume, from what would appear to be an excessive amount of oil being applied to the gasoline? Or..... is there any possibility that the smoking could be related to a overheating condition? (Been down that road previously)

The low oil warning system emits a beep every other 20 or 40 seconds, depending on the system when the oil level has dropped to 1/4 tank. How low was that oil level?

You could plug the oil intake hose and run the engine on a separate fuel tank filled with premix to see if that cures the problem. If it does, the VRO requires rebuilding or replacing. Just be sure to disconnect the VRO wiring to eliminate its signals during the test.
