A friend got his boat out of storage and he connected the battery cables backwards. He said that he activated the power tilt but he must of pressed down to tilt the motor. After he tried to crank it over he lost all power. I found a blown fuse in the fuse holder under the engine cover and replaced it. After replacing the fuse we had power and the powertilt worked so we tried to start it and it instantly blew another fuse. All wiring under the engine cover looks fine. I'm thinking that the problem is from the remote connecter to the remote. Has anyone run into this problem before?
Thanks,wetsquirrel

Hi faztbullet, I unplugged the rectifier and it still blows fuse #3.I am checking out the switch. I have also read on another post about a diode in the harness that could be the problem. Do you know where the diode is located?
Thanks,wetsquirrel

Yeah I think there is a diode, it should have a brown wire and a red yellow wire i think, and 1 other wire (i think its two into one).
