Hey guys, I have am 85 ( I believe) suzuki 150 super six (12 spark plugs), I cannot get the thing to run right.

It idles perfectly, when you put it into gear it dies.

To get it to start you have to squirt some gas (in a spray bottle, mixed with oil) into the carbs.

Once started, when you put it into gear (with someone spraying some fuel into the carbs) it'll run fine, after the first little bit of throttle it'll pick up and run on it's own UNTIL you get it wide open and then it surges.

I'm almost POSITIVE it's the carbs, but I wanted to be sure, looking into the carbs while it's running WOT there is a lot of spray from each jet in each carb, they all look about equal.

Any idea on where I should start looking?

Have you pumped the primer ball while this is happening to rule out the fuel pump. Also the choke should be able to get you re-started unless the carbs are empty.

Pumping the bulb, and even spraying fuel directly into the carbs doesn't seem to do it any better, or worse. The choke doesn't seem to do much good either.
