TAMD41P-a circulating pump hose

I had a belt get loose and wear through the hose going from the circulating pump to the heat exchanger and to the fill reservoir. A $188 hose I found out. Anyone else have this happen and anything I can do to protect this new hose like a shield or something?

We installed the new hose and also changed to original Volvo Penta matched fan belts that are shorter than the aftermarket ones that were in it. Had to pull adjusting screw to get the belts on. There is more clearance between the belt and the hose now so I think it will be ok. Took for a 12 mile trip across the bay and it did fine.
