I have a 1994 40hp Sea Pro. It's a pretty simple engine, single carb, 2 stroke.
The carb has been cleaned and adjusted, fresh fuel.
New plugs.
Seems to have good spark on each cylinder. (just visual check)
124psi on each cylinder.
The motor runs rough at idle and low rpm. Here's a video of it running https://youtu.be/F940eGHvvZY
If I adjust the fuel screw I can turn it in until the motor starves for fuel or out until it's loading up but it misses just the same either way, I don't believe it's fuel/carb related.
What wears out on these that could cause this? reeds? weak spark? timing issue? I have tools and multi meters, any checks I can do?
We took it out on the river and it killed a few times during idle.
Thanks for any ideas!
