Power Inverter Question

I have a small 1500 watt inverter on my boat that I use for small stuff like a vacuum and trouble lights if need be. My question is, can I mount and hard wire it to one of the batteries so I don't have to keep fumbling around with it and hooking up aligator clips to the battery. Thanks-Russ

Hi Russ, Yes, very easy but be sure to incorporate an On/Off switch between your inverter and the battery. Place the switch in a convenient position, if you are using a single line switch then connect it to your positive (red) line. Although most inverters have a built in switch it is best to be safe than sorry.

Like Eric posted yes very easy done, make sure to follow the wiring recommendations according to the distance/max draw table

Be sure and fuse it also, depending on the house wiring you can possibly wire it direct to the fuse block under the dash if it has one if not make sure it is fused at the battery with a inline fuse.
