I am about to rebuild an Evirude 30 HP.

Measure the cylinder bores and if out of round or past wear limit bore it oversize, If its the 2 cylinder make sure engine has overheated and aluminum is not pulling away from cylinder liner.
 
How did you determine the engine needs rebuilt? Did you pull the head and the exhaust cover for inspection? Got pics and model number?
