Default Where to Begin ---- 1970's era engines , been sitting for long time .....

These two have been resting for about 20 years, they were stored , very well . ,fogged , and they turned over ( just turned key, the starters electrified and engines turns) , were not started though. I'm not an engine guy , so i will be getting a professional to have a look. Could I be in for a huge shock ( $$$$ and repairs)... many tell me a lil tune up and they should be good to go??
Also if any one can give me any info. on these engines it would be greatly appreciated....
I cannot read the plates so , I can only assume they are Merc Cruiser 454 Chevy big blocks. HP ????

The Re-fit and re-launch of Concorde 33 sports fisherman , these are the origional engines im pretty sure.Click image for larger version.
