2003 Mercury 60 HP flow direction for motor fuel filter

I have looked at several different diagrams, and videos and can not figure out which way the flow arrow should be pointed on my engine fuel filter. Should the flow arrow be point towards the fuel pump or away from the fuel pump on my motor.

Fuel flows from the connector, to the fuel pump, to the filter, and to the carbs. Follow the hoses and it should clarify itself.

Also, that motor has an enrichener valve to flood the thing for cold starting; it's after the filter as well.
