I have a 2011 BF75D (Fuel Injected).
Does the engine have a Safe or Limp Home mode?
On my last fishing holiday it ran OK during the morning, but then once I would start it and shift into gear, it would be extremely rough and shuddering (seemed like only 2 cylinders were firing). It would accelerate up to about 3000RPM and shudder away for about 10 seconds, then suddenly full power would come back and it would then run no problems...until I went back to neutral. Then this process would repeat itself, gradually getting worse until now it does it constantly and it stays in "Limp Mode" all the time.
When I lift the cold start lever, the engine revs freely up to 5000 RPM no problems, its only when Im in gear.
Any help or advice greatly appreciated.
