Tohatsu prop torque spec 30A4. Paul please send me a quote for Service Manual

I'm looking for the torque specification for the prop nut on a 30A4 Tohatsu. Please don't tell me that it's in the manual, that's obvious.

Paul can you please PM me the price of a Factory Service Manual for a 2005 30A4 Tohatsu?

Because the prop nut must engage the cotter pin, exact torque is impossible to specify. I just tighten the nut to zero axial lash, and then back off until the slot in the nut aligns with the hole in the prop shaft, then insert a new ss cotter, and spread it. You can use a block of wood between the prop blades and the antiventilation plate to do the tightening. The prop is splined, so exact torque is unimportant anyway... just not loose, or it will slide fore and aft when you shift F-R.

I'm no longer with Obersheimer's, so use the dealer locator feature of the Tohatsu website, or check with your local dealer for a service manual.
