Default Correct fuel mixture for a 1938 Johnson MD 38

I have a 1938 Johnson MD 38 that I have been working on. What would be the correct fuel mixture for this motor?

16:1 for all motors without bearings.

I have also heard to use gas with no alcohol.

The alcohol eats the coating off the cork float, then it becomes gas logged. Gasohol stinks. Hate that crap.

You can let the float fully dry out, clean it up with some sand paper and blow clean with compressed air. Then dunk it in a dish of clear fuel proof model airplane dope and let it drip and dry fully then it is ready for service.
