New motor sat for eighteen months.

I just bought a new E10R4AA 9.8 hp from a guy that bought it brand new and never used. It sat covered up in his barn for a year and a half (temp extremes range from about 100 deg. F in summer to 25 deg. F in winter). What should I do to it before I turn it over and start breaking it in?

Get a can of fogging oil and manually open the carb and spray fogging oil in the carb while pulling the rope before you pump the carb full of fuel. It probably wouldnt hurt to replace the impeller just so you know its good.

You should be able to get it at any part store maybe walmart also. It is used to coat the internals of motor for winter storage or long lay ups. If the motor has never been run you want to do a proper break in period also. Did it come with a owners manual? You should be able to download the manual for free.
