Mercury pro max 200 identification- please help

Im working on what appears to be a 1998 pro max 200. It has a 225 pro max ecu. I cannot find a serial number anywhere. I have a piston failure on #5 piston. I need to replace powerhead and two different ones are available. The block cast number is 884-858257-c. The ecu# is 824003r32. Please help and thanks

So how did you make out with this? Were you able to determine anything?

Probably to late but just in case, the ECU part number has superseded 3 times over the years but it fits the engine years/models listed below,

This Mercury Marine E.C.U. ASSEMBLY part numbers 824003A12, 824003A32, 824003R32 is used on these models and components: E.C.U. ASSEMBLY (S/N-0D936220 & UP): So knowing that info should help get you to where you need to be.
