6hp tell tale

Hi
I have an early 70's Chrysler 6hp. Starts first go, sounds great, but can't see a tell tale. Do these have a tell tale. Twin holes high up only smoke, no water. Have checked impeller, and blown air through and all is fine there. Any ideas. Thanks
 
No whizzer on any Chrysler and most Forces.
Most of the water/ exhaust goes out the snout on the bottom of the cavitation plate.

IF??? you don't know how old the impeller is??? Change it.
Change the gear oil and replace the seals on the screws.
The original washers are a one time use and can leak if not replaced.
Any Mercury or Mercruiser seal will work.
