Excessive grinding into gear 08 150

Looking to solve this issue, anyone had similar issue?
Is it cable adjustment or possibly the shift cut control system that I am reading about in the service manual?
I'm not sure what rpm I,m idling at but it doesn't appear to be high.

Are you easing it into gear ??-----------An outboard should be shifted with a quick firm motion to avoid this grinding.

Appreciate the reply, I'm not operating this boat any different than my Carolina skiff w/ a 60 hp Yami and it doesn't grind like the 150 if it grinds at all
