Looking for some advice on Evinrude RE200SLSSH

I have an Evinrude Ficht 2000 RE200SLSSH (yes, it's 16 years old) Was running fine, but lately I had to give it a shot of ether to get it to start (not recommended). Replaced fuel/water separator, new plugs (indexed), good fuel, but now it just turns and turns and won't start. New battery, fully charged. Filled fuel filter prior to installing and primed. Have good spark. Safety lanyard engaged-- I can hear fuel pump engage when I turn the key and let it load. I'm at a loss now of what else to check. Can anyone lead me in the right direction of what to check now?

Need to get some software and see if CPS is syncing up to flywheel...

Any 2-stroke: Fuel + Compression + Spark = RUN
You have spark. You might check compression just to be certain. It sounds like you injectors are not firing and delivering fuel. As Faztbullet said, check to make sure CPS is sending the right data. Also verify fuel pressure and the TPS.

Thanks for the info-- will check soon as possible--just had surgery on my foot. May be a while before I can get into garage and investigate.
