1968 Buehler Turbocraft Thunderball

My uncle bought this boat that is in really great shape/condition with a 426 Wedge Imperial 290 in it. I have searched and search for information on this boat and trying to compare to see what it might be worth. I can buy it for what he paid $3500 but not sure if I should due to parts being available or just if its worth that much at all. Again the boat is in great condition and runs very well with a new rebuild 20hrs. Built by a professional engine builder not long ago. I need help in what direction I should go. I have never owned a boat and think this motor would turn heads on the lake! I hear they were very well built boats of the day.

Ayuh,.... Problem with that is, the day, was 1/2 a Century ago,.....

My guess is, that price is at the extreme high-end of what it's worth,.....

IMO, I don't know that I'd worry over the 426 engine. It has a lot in common with the 440. On the other hand, a 48 year old hull, I'd be concerned with stringers, transom, and floor condition.

Thanks for response! The boat is solid in very good condition so I think that is not a problem.
