COUPLER - change or not ?

2003 mercruiser 5.7 300hp with bravo 3. 750'ish hours
Engine is out to do transom plate.

I have the aluminum coupler - it looks fine - do I replace it with steel ? Or leave it alone ?

It's an EXPENSIVE part. My project has gotten WAAAY EXPENSIVE.
 
Can you give a part number on the coupler?


My recommendation would be to replace it.

Even though it looks fine from the outside one never knows for sure.

Also I was not aware they had a steel option vs aluminum??
