Countless times I've advised people on this site to add a "1/4 to a 1/2 turn richer on the idle mixture screws to reduce bogging on throttle up." Today I took my own advise and cured what was a wicked bog on my homemade Merc triple w/ three carbs. From stalling (or nearly) to immediate throttle response with just a 1/4 turn richer (from 'best' idle).
