Alpha One Service Question

I have my Alpha One outdrive removed and placed on a two by four stand. My question is can I hang the drive on a chain hoist to perform impeller service? Or what is the best way to service when removed from the boat?
 
I've just laid mine across a work bench or screwed 2x's across saw horses to hold the plates mid drive to split the halves. Luckily the alpha is light enough to move around
