New to boat ownership, 1999 Tohatsu 40hp 2 cycle - running max rpm for short period (1-2 minutes) - water was flowing from the water port at a good stream - buzzer/alarm sounded. I stopped and killed engine.
The oil was at 3/4+ full.
Is this something I need to have serviced? Taking out this weekend and will run at lower speed - interested if this happens again.
Any advice would be helpful, thank you.
