1974 Merc 500. This thing must be giving off some crazy electromagnetic waves (or maybe it's Merc's first secret nuclear powered motor). 
Check out the video of my Direct Voltage Adapter and digital multimeter going NUTS... AND IT'S NOT EVEN CONNECTED to anything on the motor! Get it close enough to the motor, and it starts throwing crazy readings. Works fine otherwise. Weird, huh?! Spoooooky!
