Hi there, hope someone can help me with this! My 2005 Mercury 100 4 stroke has an intermittent fault, one minute it's charging battery ok and I'm getting 14v on console but if stop engine and then restart sometimes it drops back to 12v and isn't charging battery. Yesterday I was out and stopped engine and restarted it dropped to 12v then 10 mins or so later it just jumped upto 14. I replaced the regulator/rectifier thinking that was problem but hasn't fixed it.
I've metered out cables from connector on rectifier to fuses on engine and all seem ok so just a bit stumped as to what it is!
