Surging

I have a 1986 70hp J70TLCD. It starts and runs fine but after 15-20mins it starts surging and cuts off. Let it sit for 5min or so and runs fine again. It keeps repeating that pattern. It has fuel. I checked that..thanks!

What happens if you pump the primer bulb when it acts up? Will it keep running ??

you might check your coil, see if it is getting continuous spark
