My reliable Chrysler has a problem. Long story short, rebuilt carb, and fuel filter. Won't start cold. Runs OK (a bit rough) warm, but just won't fire cold. I've discovered if I completely cover (choke) the intake holes on the carbs (all three completely blocked), I feel the suction, gas kicks out and the motor fires. Generally it starts fine after that. I have checked and adjusted choke - working, and internal/accelerate butterflies are fully closed. Why can I get it to start by manually choking tight? (As you can tell, I am not a mechanic. Learning on the go.)
