I bought a boat tonight with a 50hp Evinrude. It looks the serial number is just a sticker on the back and I can't read it. I could barely read the model number (E50TLESR)
and according to this site it is a 1990 model. From the decals I think this is true. But the motor had an issue before I picked it up and the shop that fixed it for the seller said it was a '96.
Is there another serial number somewhere else on the motor to make them think this?
