Was in the final stages of clean and rebuild last of 3 carbs. Drying pilot jet with compressed air when I lost grip on pliers and this little (4mm) brass jet was gone. Have torn my workshop apart at to no avail. (Magnetic sweep doesn't work) Have searched internet extensively. Jet is discontinued part available no where.
Found outboard recycling firm in Florida has used Yamaha carbs, but not mine. Suggestion is to take smaller jet #60 and drill out to the #72 I need. Is this dangerous? What risk am I taking if any. Will welcome info on source for used carb and any other suggestions on solution.
