AD41P-A Diesel in Engine oil

I am getting fuel in my oil, as in oil level overfull. I suspect that my my lift pump is the problem (it is the cheapest part in the chain), it appears to loose prime on occasion. I pump my Racor priming pump an it fires right up, have no performance issues.

I will buy into that theory.
Also the pump has check valves in it that are failing in yours causing it to lose prime. Replaced one of mine last year for that reason.
It's an easy change.
Get enough new crush washers for the banjo fittings.
