Hello again,
Update on my overheat alarm and engine issue from a few months ago......here is original posting
http://www.marineengine.com/boat-fo...BF150-overheat-alarm&highlight=overheat+alarm
I've run the boat about 10 hours and no overheat alarms - i've taken the cowling off and checked with heat gun - right at 159-160....however, the Garmin 441S with NMEA 2000 temp and engine monitors still showing anywhere from 180-200 - I have yet to figure that out......but if the alarms arent sounding, the heat gun says not overheating - i'm good with all that....i think
I had a neighbor that took his boat to a Honda repair in Orlando - he advised the service manager advised him that Honda recently put out a service bulletin for this overheat/nmea issue and says its the temp sensor in the motor failing to work properly.....
Anyone hear of this? i cant find the service bulletin
thanks
jeff
