Replacing oil drain tube assembly

I got the old assembly out but is there a secret to getting the new one in. Does the motor have to be raised or something. My motor is a 5.7 litre OMC King Cobra Model 574APRMED
 
Thanks to my parts guy, John S. at All Island Marine it was piece of cake. removed the brass fitting under the oil pan preassembled everything installed it filled it with oil and done

Ayuh,.... Anything is possible,.... I'm sometimes curious, but never invested any energy to find my roots,.....

Grew up watchin' Ward Bond on Wagon Train,..... Dad told me as a child, "Ya, he's yer 2nd Uncle",.....

Pure B/S, but so what to a little kid,.... ;)
