How to test a CDM ignition module ?

Hey guys, I am having an issue that Im starting to think could be ignition related and would like to know how to test a CDM module (coil pack) on my 2002 Mercury 75hp. It may be cutting in and out after half throttle that I am noticing, originally thought it was fuel related but I have done everything there is to do on that end and now looking at electrical possibilities.

I am having a very similar issue with my 86 90hp mariner. I'm sure we have narrowed it down to an ignition issue. Dad replaced the module (the one that controls 3 of the cylinder modules) in the past. My question is how do you test whether it's the individual module, or the one that controls all 3?
