I have a 2006 40hp fourstroke. I was going full throttle and all of a sudden something gave out and I have no forward or reverse. The prop spins free in neutral and there's resistance in forward and reverse as normal but with the motor running when I shift into gear I got nothing. There's a slight grinding noise if I try to hold it in gear but otherwise nothing works. Any ideas?
